The training experience at Dr. Goodness & Associates is designed to provide an introduction to private practice assessment and treatment services. Practicum students will gain experience through observation of clinical services, report-writing, and hands-on delivery of assessment and/or therapy services under the supervision of Kelly Goodness, Ph.D. The actual amount and type of hands-on opportunities will be commensurate with the student’s experience and demonstrated level of expertise. The practicum student’s primary experiences will focus on diagnostic evaluations for disability and rehabilitation clients. The student’s responsibilities will include psychological test administration and scoring, general clinical assessment interviews, and report-writing. Although therapy is a possibility, it will not be the primary focus of this practicum experience.
Students may also be involved in forensic case preparation. Interested students may request to participate in forensic investigations, evaluations, and courtroom services.
Practicum experiences are available for both Master’s Program and Doctoral Program students who are in accredited applied programs and who have the required assessment training.
