Psychological evaluations include consultation, pre-operative evaluation, and psychodiagnostic assessment. Conducted individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Dictation of intake reports, progress notes, and testing results and write up of psychological batteries. Consultation with physicians, nurses, child life specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social service providers. Referral to alternate mental health service providers in the community. Supervision by 2 licensed psychologists (2 hours/week) and weekly group supervision with other licensed psychologists.

Client Population: Children (ages 3-11) and adolescents (12-18) with presenting problems including: mood, anxiety, phobias, chronic pain, somatization, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, as well as adjustment to disability issues, non-compliance, and pervasive developmental delays. Adults with presenting problems including grief and adjustment to disability. Facilitated group therapy with children (4-10) experiencing difficulty adjusting to orthopedic and neuro-developmental conditions and a support group for parents of children with orthopedic and neuro-developmental conditions.

April 2002                                       Master’s Thesis: Evaluation of Therapeutic Outcome of Neurofeedback Training for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

                                                Chair: Richard Beck, Ph.D.

Research project that examined the impact of neurofeedback treatment with ADHD college students. Participants were recruited from the Abilene Christian University. Participants completed questionnaires regarding ADHD status. Participants were administered 20 sessions of neurofeedback with pre and post-tests at 0, 10, and 20 sessions using the Test of Variables of Attention (TOVA).
